Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 8, 2026

Silver Sidekick ("we") is a daily assistant service: Silvia, an AI assistant, calls and texts an older adult ("the parent") with reminders and a friendly check-in, set up by a family member ("the caregiver"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Silver Sidekick is not a medical or emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.

What we collect

From the caregiver: name, email, mobile number, relationship to the parent, language, payment details (handled by Stripe; we never see the full card number), and the consents given at sign-up with the time, IP address and browser.

About the parent, as entered by the caregiver: the name Silvia should use, phone number, time zone, language, call time and days, pill nicknames and times (for example "blue heart pill"; we never ask for diagnoses), upcoming appointments, a shopping list and notes.

From calls and texts: call recordings and transcripts, pill check answers, messages sent and received, and life stories the parent chooses to share.

From the website: basic technical data (IP address, browser) and, if you arrived from an ad, the ad identifiers needed to measure it.

How we use it

To run the service: place Silvia's calls, send reminders, tell the caregiver what needs attention, save stories the parent agrees to save, bill the subscription and provide support.

To keep it safe: honor STOP and do-not-contact requests, respect calling hours (8am–9pm the parent's time) and prevent misuse.

To improve it: only if the caregiver opted in, we use de-identified answers to measure outcomes.

What we never do

We never sell personal information. We never share health or parent information with advertisers. When we measure ads, we send Meta only the caregiver's hashed email and phone and the ad identifiers; never pill, appointment, call or parent details.

We never ask for diagnoses, insurance IDs, Social Security numbers or passwords.

Text messages (SMS)

We send text messages only to people who agreed to receive them: the caregiver, by checking a box when signing up, and the parent, by saying yes on Silvia's first call. Messages are reminders and account notices about the service, never ads.

Message frequency varies (usually 1 to 5 messages a day). Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop all texts at any time. Replying STOP also stops Silvia's calls to that phone.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Who helps us run the service

We use trusted providers who process data only to deliver the service: Supabase (database), Vercel (website), Stripe (payments), Retell AI and its AI and voice providers (phone calls), Twilio (text messages), Resend (email) and Meta (ad measurement, caregiver match data only). Each receives only what it needs.

How long we keep it

Call audio is deleted after 30 days, except short clips that show consent and stories the family chose to keep. Transcripts are kept for 12 months. Stories are kept until the parent or caregiver deletes them. When an account is closed, we delete the family's data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep (for example billing records).

Your choices

The parent always has the final say: they can say no on the first call, reply STOP, ask Silvia to stop calling, decline stories, or ask to delete a story. A second no means we never contact the family again.

The caregiver can see, change or delete the family's information, or ask for a copy, by writing to hello@getsilversidekick.com. We answer within 30 days.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to each family's own caregivers, and our team accesses it only to provide support. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly as the law requires.

Children

The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will email the caregiver before it takes effect. Questions: hello@getsilversidekick.com.

Not for emergencies. Call 911.
